Our Story
You could say that Tinovus Health was a dream long before it became a reality.
Dr. Stefan Huber has carried this vision with him since elementary school: a calling to one day practice medicine the way he believed it was truly meant to be—personal, unhurried, and deeply relational. That dream stayed with him through the years, growing clearer and stronger as he pursued his path in medicine.
During his clinical years in medical school, that long-held vision began to take real shape. He imagined a clinic that felt more like a welcoming home than a traditional medical office—a place without sterile smells or impersonal walls, but rather a comforting space where patients could truly feel seen and cared for. He wanted a practice where people spent more time with their provider than in the waiting room. Most importantly, he dreamed of completing the full circle of care by being accessible to patients when they need it.
What began as a childhood dream grew into a determined mission. While completing his residency at Waco Family Medicine, Dr. Huber continued to nurture that vision with prayer and purpose. He learned from local business owners, studied practice management, and slowly turned the dream into a plan: a locally owned, independent primary care clinic right here in the Waco area.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Today, Tinovus Health has grown and developed while staying true to its roots. Through provider changes as the practice has matured, the clinic remains centered on comfort, genuine connection, and exceptional care. Dr. Huber is joined by two outstanding nurse practitioners and a dedicated team that works tirelessly for every patient. The care they provide is unique, much like the name on the building. Speaking of names, what does Tinovus mean?
Tinovus is a poetic blend of the past and the present, much like the care we provide. The past is honored in “Tighe,” a loving tribute to Dr. Huber’s late father, a Family Medicine Physician and the man Dr. Huber grew up admiring. The present is captured in “-novus,” from the Latin, meaning new, fresh, and extraordinary.
Now that you know our story, we would be truly honored if you chose to become part of it.
MEET OUR PROVIDERS

DR. STEFAN R. HUBER, DO
Family Medicine Physician
Owner/Founder
Dr. Stefan Huber is a family medicine physician who was born and raised in Nederland, Texas. He is a proud Baylor University alumnus, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Health Science Studies and a Master’s Degree in Public Health.
While at Baylor, Dr. Huber was a student-athlete who played football for the Bears.
Upon completing his master’s degree, Dr. Huber went on to earn his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. He then returned to Waco — the town that had made a lasting impact on his life — to complete his family medicine residency at Waco Family Medicine. It was during this time that he deepened his commitment to providing personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care to individuals and families in the Central Texas region.
Dr. Huber’s passion for family medicine began at an early age as he watched his father, the late Dr. Tighe A. Huber, faithfully serve their community as a family physician. Dr. Huber seeks to practice preventative, comprehensive medicine in a way that is guided and shaped by his Christian faith.
In his free time, Dr. Huber cherishes time with his wife, Nicole, and their three daughters. He also enjoys grilling and outdoor activities.
